Variations – Another Version of Christmas Pictionary

A few additional ways you can play instead of the typical Christmas Pictionary game to add a unique twist and keep things exciting:

  1. Christmas Charades: Instead of drawing, players act out the word or phrase silently, and their team members have to guess the Christmas-related word.
  2. Reverse Pictionary: In this version, one player describes the word or phrase without using any verbal cues, and their team members have to guess based on the description.
  3. Partner Pictionary: Players team up in pairs, and both partners take turns drawing and guessing together.
  4. Christmas Movie Pictionary: Focus the game solely on Christmas movies, where players draw or act out famous scenes, characters, or movie titles from holiday films.
  5. Song Pictionary: Players draw or act out Christmas songs or carols, and their team members have to guess the song title.
  6. Picture Card Pictionary: Instead of words, use picture cards with Christmas-themed images, and players have to describe or act out the image on the card.
  7. Kids vs. Adults: Divide players into two teams, with one team comprising only younger kids and the other team consisting of adults. The kids can have easier words, and the adults can have more challenging ones.
  8. Christmas Memory Pictionary: Before drawing, players get to look at the word for a few seconds, and then they have to draw it from memory.
  9. Pictionary Relay Race: Divide players into two teams and create a relay race format where each player from the team takes turns drawing and guessing, passing on to the next player until all team members have participated.
  10. Theme Pictionary: Choose a specific Christmas theme (e.g., Santa Claus, Christmas ornaments, winter wonderland) for each round, and all the words must relate to that theme.

Feel free to mix and match these variations or come up with your own to make your Christmas Pictionary game even more enjoyable and tailored to your group’s preferences!

A few of these may be harder, depending on the audience. This would be another fun one to do a few of your own ideas on blank cards for your favorite Christmas characters. Ours would definitely have to be “Harry & Marv” from Home Alone.
